hnl snapshotcaptured only a fraction of a real setup (138 files kept, 1,778 left out "size cap" on a typical Mac): the whole snapshot had to fit in about 1 MB. File bodies now upload one by one to your account's file store, only those it does not have yet, so a heavy setup with thousands of skill reference files is captured whole and a daily snapshot sends only what changed. Text files up to 1 MB each are taken, and binary files in skill folders too; a snapshot can hold up to 25 MB on Free and 500 MB on Pro and Team.hnl snapshot --dry-runandhnl snapshotsay how much was captured and list every file left out and why (over the 1 MB per-file cap, or past your plan's ceiling).hnl restorechecks every file against its SHA-256 before writing it and keeps each file's permissions (hook scripts stay executable). Files a snapshot no longer uses are deleted after Free keeps only its latest snapshot and when you delete your account. Snapshots taken with 17.5.91 still restore. Skills, agents, commands, prompts and their reference files are no longer altered by guesswork: only known credential formats (provider keys such assk-,sk-ant-,ghp_,AKIA…,AIza…,xox?-, JWTs, private-key blocks,Bearertokens, secret-named assignments of a literal value) and the values of secret-named environment variables on the machine are redacted there, so long URLs, hashes and base64 images restore exactly; harness and MCP config files keep the full check, high-entropy values included.
